Romantic; precisely formulated; and, occasionally, laugh out loud funny.

What a respectable personal favourite to have! Though some themes in this text were painful to me (…even when all hope is lost), I was a suspense junkie waiting for the moment when Anne and Captain Wentworth would have their first private exchange. When the latter was able to hand over his note, his sweet and powerful words sealed the deal with both Anne and I prior to this long-awaited face-to-face.
